The Studio will primarily focus on 1:1 yoga, pilates, stretching, sports massage and strength training and only be used by a small number of clientele
This role is suited to someone with all-round operational experience who has a resourceful mindset and is happy to muck-in with whatever is needed to get the Studio up and running.
Ideally, you’ll have worked for a start-up business previously and been instrumental in setting up the operations function from scratch. An understanding of the challenges, pitfalls and admin involved is highly desirable to ensure this project moves from concept to completion in the optimal time possible, whilst at the same time not compromising on quality or detail.
The Principal is looking for someone to deliver his vision. Attention to detail that is verging on the obsessive, the ability to manage projects from start-finish within strict deadlines and a “can-do” mentality are all vitally important attributes. Someone who has an understanding of gyms and yoga studios etc would also be helpful.
Some of the responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Working closely with the Principal
Dealing with the Landlord
Liaising with Accountants/lawyers
Sourcing and working with fit-out/interior design company
Set up payroll, bank accounts
Recruitment and sourcing of Wellness Staff
Commercial oversight of the business and producing reports where necessary
Purchasing equipment – negotiating where necessary
