Job Description

We are looking for a super-talented and enthusiastic Head of Marketing to join our fast-growing team.

Overall responsibility for the marketing & PR outreach with the ability to shape the strategy and start building out a team.

Key Responsibilities

Activities include, but are not limited to:

Marketing and PR strategy development

  • Plan, develop + execute an effective cross-channel marketing strategy, working closely with the senior leadership team to ensure strategy is in line with business and commercial objectives. It is also important to lead the PR strategy to develop supportive PR content.

Building and developing the Marketing team

  • Over time this will be a key part of this role to develop and lead a team of direct reports within the Marketing and PR / agency roles.

Building relationships/partnerships

  • Lead The Vurger Co partnerships strategy, including brand partnership opportunities, events and influencer activity.

Brand ownership and development

  • Own the development of the brand, supporting the graphic design process, ensuring all external facing assets are in line with our brand.

Budget ownership

  • Define and manage budgets, KPIs and channel CPLs according to business targets.

Content creation

  • Work with the wider team and Creative Director to develop an effective content strategy across the blog, newsletter and key digital channels to drive brand awareness, lead generation and conversions.

Development of digital promotional activity across restaurant and retail products 

  • Have a strong understanding of key digital channels. Develop an effective and efficient digital marketing strategy across Search, Display and Social channels.

Reporting and analysis

  • Have strong Google Analytics and excel competency to report on full funnel performance + activity ROI. Be able to collaborate and work closely with Head of Sales, Development, CEO, COO, key stakeholders and the wider team to ensure alignment across projects.

Prerequisites

  • A performance-driven and goal-oriented professional with extensive growth marketing experience across online and offline channels.
  • A minimum of 4 years experience working within a marketing team at a leading fast growth business.
  • We’re looking for someone with a creative flair but also passionate about testing, measurement and iteration to improve results continuously.
  • Expert at managing projects and multiple workstreams, with great attention to detail.
  • Skilled stakeholder manager with strong business acumen and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Management experience - someone looking to take on a management role within a collaborative marketing team.
  • A clear understanding of full funnel marketing strategies to drive leads and optimise conversion rates.
  • Confident with marketing platforms such as Google Analytics, Adwords, Hubspot and Mailchimp.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of digital marketing channels - either through working within a digital role or managing an agency.
  • A strong interest in joining a small, fast growth team and can work independently.
  • A passion for Vegan food and in depth knowledge of this market is a huge bonus.

You'll need to have strong professional marketing and PR experience at other food brands and be able to work with stakeholders across the business and also externally to deliver amazing results. You'll also be the person responsible for starting to build the marketing team so this is a big role with big responsibility and we need somebody who is excited by that challenge.
