Though we’re best known for Dynamic Reformer Pilates, we also offer other fitness classes, along with Personal Training, Physiotherapy, Sports Massage and Clinical Exercise (specialist exercise prescription for people with a life-altering clinical condition, ie, cancer, heart disease, menopause, diabetes and women's health issues).

We also offer a curated retail range that includes in-the-know athleisure brands, hair and skincare, healthy drinks and snacks long with lifestyle and fitness products.

Lastly, through TenEducation we provide a range of Pilates training courses to external fitness professionals throughout the UK and further afield.

Job Description

About the Role

The Group Schedule Manager is an exciting and pivotal role at Ten, one which can significantly impact on the performance of the Business, from financial impact, client satisfaction and client engagement.

It needs a commercial, analytical, and cool head. Someone with the ability to plan in advance, whilst having an understanding of the need for flexibility. An ability to review many components, understanding the impact of these levers and pulley have on wider commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities


  • Responsibility and accountability for Class scheduling across 8 studios,
    making sure Class Occupancy and trainer utilization is maximized
  • Client needs are reflected in the class types
  • Working with Physio Director to integrate the Hybrids (a cross between a physio and Pilates teacher) effectively /commercially
  • Responsible for supporting the continual improvement of standards
    working closely with the Head of Fitness and Master Trainers
  • Responsible for managing instructor holiday and sickness cover
  • Planning in advance and in consultation with GOM/Trainers
  • Responsible for attracting new instructors to the business supporting the HR manager and Head of Fitness on recruitment days
  • Help build a trainer pipeline to grow the schedule working with Head of Fitness
  • Know the risks /plan for change / build the teams in advance
  • You do this by knowing the trainers and working closely and visible in studio
  • Have full commercial understanding of the schedule – the levers’ and pulley’s
  • Know the products and prices, break evens and how to grow a schedule
  • Know and trainer rates
  • Set minimum expectations of hours /weekend work
  • Build the spine of the studio followed by the support
  • Commercial understanding and programming to drive client engagement and retention
  • Be people orientated to bring the teams with you – influence and consult – not just

  • Increase occupancy in classes through trainer selection and correct programming
  • Solve the cover issue
  • Reduce /eliminate class cancellations
  • Improve the client experience in class by helping trainers understand their impact
  • Follow Listen360 feedback
  • Utilise / find Tech to support schedule programming, i.e. Cover Ninja
  • Identify in advance the risk /opportunities via trainer risk tracker (supported by GOM’s)
  • Have a pipeline of new instructors coming into the business
