This role:
The Studio Manager will be responsible for delivering the incredible membership and guest offering across the yoga and spin studio, gym with rig for circuit classes, 4 treatment rooms & sauna. Working closely with the Head of Wellness to ensure wellness has a touch point for everything we do at Birch.
This role will be the face of Wellness at Birch on a daily basis and will manage all Wellness team members. They will ensure that scheduling and programming within the space, are organised and running smoothly, meeting all standards set by the Brand, whilst dealing with operational troubleshooting as needed, and ensuring that the guests experiences are met and exceeded.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- To manage the day to day Wellness Space operation
- To deputise for the Head of Wellness where necessary
- Assist in the design of strategies with the Head of Wellness, to maximise commercial offerings.
- Assist the Head of Wellness in recruitment, retention, programming and training.
- To assist the HR department towards the wellbeing of all team members both in the Wellness Space and also within the site as a whole.
- Design ongoing promotional strategies to ensure a high level of interest and support is maintained by the membership base as well as attracting new business
- Oversee the departmental rota and staffing cost controls
- Effectively oversee all stock control procedures including ordering, stock rotation and par levels.
- Be familiar with and utilise systems and processes including website, booking and scheduling platforms, payment processing and accounting reporting
- Lead by example in delivering exceptional client experience through energetic front desk interactions, assisting in client check-in, booking, issues/complaints and selling techniques of wellness experiences and merchandise
- Assist in the delivery and curation of Wellness events classes, workshops in the wellness space and across the site
- Oversee, support & manage all logistics of Wellness events and activities
- Assist in curating class programming to ensure we offer innovative classes to support the community and brand
- Ensure that all activities carried out, are completed in a professional manner, therefore controlling the reputation and management of the wellness space and its brand.
